How we help
There are various services that Reclaim-it can provide your charity as part of the Community Appeal.
Collectors
At the heart of the scheme is a dedicated collector recruited by Reclaim-it from the local community.
The collector, who will operate in the charity's catchment area, will be responsible for encouraging companies to join the scheme.
All of the collectors will be issued with personalised polo shirts, as well as a picture ID card that they will be required to wear whenever entering a company's premises.
Each collector maintains a comprehensive list of all the companies they enlist and supply this information via a dedicated link to Reclaim-it.
The Collection Box
Any company that agrees to join the Community Appeal will be supplied with a collection box.
The boxes have been designed to safely store up to 18 laser cartridges, up to 1000 inkjets, or a combination of both.
The collection of the box is completely free.
Collection boxes are a great way to encourage donations, and can be placed in strategic places in your corporate supporters' offices as well as your own to help promote the Community Appeal.
Part of the service provided to your charity by Reclaim-it is the ability to trace all empty cartridges and old mobile phones, as well as the value of the donation, back to the company that donated them.
This gives you the facility to thank your supporters for their help.
Reply Paid Envelopes
Specifically designed for the return of mobile phones and inkjet cartridges, the reply paid envelope offers a quick and convenient way to donate these smaller items for recycling.
They are perfect when placed in charity shops or included in mail shots to your supporters.
To make use of the Reply Paid Envelope Scheme, supporters insert the inkjet cartridge or mobile phone with battery into the envelope, seal, and drop in the mail box - it's that simple.
Personalised envelopes can also be produced for certain clients, at a minimum order of 50,000.
There is also a dispenser box available, which is ideal for placing on reception desks or shop counters and can be distributed locally by supporters.
These hold the envelopes neatly and conveniently, allowing supporters to help themselves.
The envelopes and dispenser box are free and the postage has already been paid, so there is no charge to yourself or to your supporters.
eClaim
eClaim is a revolutionary new service that allows charities to establish a mobile phone and cartridge recycling service directly from their own website, without the need to set up any costly infrastructure.
In doing so, you can develop an environmentally friendly means of generating additional income from such items, without the need to collect or handle them.
We provide a dedicated page on our website, which carries your organisation's logo and profile.
This will provide your supporters with the opportunity to get involved with the Reclaim-it collection scheme for old mobile phones and empty printer cartridges.
Then it is simply a case of setting up a link from your homepage to the Reclaim-it site - and that's it.
Supporters who are interested in recycling visit your website and follow the link to your page at Reclaim-it.
They then fill in their contact details and order the necessary collection media - be it a collection box or reply paid envelopes.
Reclaim-it registers the new contact as your supporter. All cartridges or mobile phones returned by the supporter generate funds for your charity.
The eClaim service is unique in that it gives you full access to the contact details of supporters through a secure log on for authorised personnel in your organisation.
There is the additional opportunity to capture details of companies and potential supporters that have searched the internet for recycling schemes and arrived at your site.
The database provided is comprehensive and enables you to put the contact details into excel format for integration into your own mailing campaigns.
MyCartridge
Many charities already collect empty printer cartridges as part of their fundraising activities.
However, Reclaim-it has joined forces with MyCartridge to provide a unique and innovative way of fundraising by generating an income from the sale of printer cartridges and consumables.
A dedicated e-commerce website has been set up at www.mycartridge.co.uk, where supporters can purchase printer cartridges for both office and home use.
Every cartridge sold generates funds for your charity.
Previous schemes have generally involved the supporter visiting a general website and specifying to whom they wish a donation to be made.
The MyCartridge site is different in that it is tailored specifically to the charity's logo, brand and colouring.
The best way to direct supporters to the site is via a link from your home page to MyCartridge.
However, as the site will be fully branded in your livery the supporter will feel just as at home as they would on your own web page.
We will also provide a link for the supporter to return to your own home page once they have finished surfing the MyCartridge site.
In effect, it becomes part of the charity's existing website.
Visitors do not have to decide which charity to support because the site only supports one - yours.
The MyCartridge site offers competitive pricing when compared to the high street and it does so with a wide range of cartridges that represent the very best quality available.
In the case of compatible and remanufactured cartridges, MyCartridge only offers products from companies with an international reputation for quality and proven support here in the UK.
Each comes with a comprehensive no quibble replacement guarantee.
There is a quick and secure checkout offering payment via Mastercard, Switch, Visa and also by cheque.
